A remembrance service was held at Wolverley CE Secondary School on Friday 8th November with members of Wolverley, Cookley and Kidderminster British Legion service men. The service has become an important and special tradition at Wolverley. This year marks the anniversary of the 75th year since the D-Day Landings on 6th June 1946. On that day, over 132,000 allied troops men took part in the invasion. By the evening of June 6th, the allies had advanced 5 miles inland. Students and staff respectfully joined ex-service men, during break time to pay their respects to those who have fought in war and to remember those who lost their lives.
