Wolverley sixth form offers a tailor made quality curriculum ensuring that all students are successful. Our sixth form offers students a wide range of courses and flexible experience in all aspects of sixth form life, matched with business mentors and placements appropriate to courses studied.
The curriculum includes everything from academic A Levels preferred by Russell Group Universities, to vocational courses that have a clear progression route to a specific career. Additionally, some pathways include regular work experience placements, enrichment opportunities and the chance to improve GCSE Maths and English.
Students will have access to the facilities on campus, which include sixth form designated areas, common rooms, refectory, study areas, ICT suites and libraries.
All students at Wolverley sixth form follow an enrichment programme to prepare them for future success in education, training or employment. The programme will also provide them with certain practical life skills while broadening their minds through considering political, citizenship and financial issues. Students in year 12 complete research for the EPQ qualification, this supports development of independent research and study skills which are necessary for success at A-Level.
Part of the academic enrichment programme will prepare students for their next step, focusing on higher education, UCAS applications, careers and opportunities beyond school. Local universities provide workshops to support students in choosing university courses, writing personal statements and student finance. To support students in making decisions about their next steps all year 12 students complete a two week work experience placement at the end of the summer term.
Students also have a weekly programme of active enrichment where they are given the opportunity to get out into the local are and community, consider way to stay physically and mentally healthy while developing interpersonal and communication skills.Application form can be found here.
