We recently welcomed Year 5 students from Wolverley Sebright VA Primary School, St Oswald’s CE Primary School and Cookley Sebright Primary School to take part in our Ambition Unlimited Challenge day.
Year 5 participated in a variety of challenging sessions to stimulate and inspire ‘more able’ students. The activities were:
• Design Technology Egg Challenge (Students tested the laws of gravity with an egg!)
• Design Technology Tomato Challenge (Students competed in a tomato challenge, they had to design, build and test a way of moving tomatoes that moved without squashing them)
• Science Murder Mystery Challenge (Curious Criminologists, students used finger printing and looking at DNA to try and solve the crime)
Year 5 flourished through each stimulating activity; they also had the opportunity and worked closely alongside our Year 7 and 8 Ambition group. They thoroughly enjoyed themselves achieving wonderful and successful results. Well done Year 5!
