Ambition Group Trip to BBC Birmingham – September 2018

Where did we visit?

On Monday 17th of September the year 8 and 9 ambition groups visited BBC Birmingham and Birmingham Library and Gardens.

What did we do?

When we visited BBC Birmingham, we had many amazing opportunities to go behind the scenes of one of the biggest broadcasting companies in the world. We went to the set of Midlands Today, produced our own short radio drama, saw the gallery, went in the rooms in which BBC 2 is broadcast from and had the chance to use all the new technology in the blue room! We also made and edited a report on our own school! We then headed to Birmingham library and explored the secret garden!

What were the best parts?

Personally, I loved the blue room which had cool technology such as virtual reality headsets and high definition screens. The secret garden was also beautiful with stunning surrounding views of the city.
