We are delighted to announce that our Age Mix Project was recently awarded a total of £1300 by the Wyre Forest District Council Localism Fund and Wolverley Carnival Fund. This money will help go towards ensuring that the project can continue to grow and develop with a wider range of activities.
Ollie Farquharson, Age Mix Project Leader, said, “I am extremely pleased with the donations we received from Wyre Forest District Council and Wolverley Carnival Fund, this will enable us to carry the project forward. Now, with the funding we have received we can introduce a wider range of activities for our senior and junior partners. It’s a pleasure to see that the project’s hard work is finally being recognised by financial backing from the local community. I would like to thank WFDC and Wolverley Carnival for their donations.”
Age Mix is a truly unique project that works with Wolverley Students and older people from the local community. It bridges the gap that sometimes develop from misunderstanding of the generations. The group meets once a fortnight to engage in a wide range of activities. The project has huge benefits for all involved including increased attendance and academic achievement.
