Kelsey Lainsbury

I joined wolverley ce secondary school in year 9, 2012 after having bad experiences in a previous school. I enjoyed myself here and excelled a lot academically leading me to gaining 9 GCSEs grade A-C with a foreign language at B. From gaining these qualifications, I stayed on an extra two years at the sixth form where I felt comfortable as I knew the teachers well and also my peers. I studied three a level subjects which were sociology, applied science and health and social care.

In July 2017 I received three a levels which I had passed them all. I enjoyed the work and the staff were extremely helpful especially with applying for degrees through UCAS and writing personal statements. After completing a total of 5 years of study at Wolverley I am now a student at the University of Worcester studying social work which has always been my dream career since year 10. In 2020 I will be a qualified social worker registered with the HCPC (Health and Care professions council) hoping to work with children and families to offer them the greater opportunities and a better quality of life.
