Wolverley Animal Centre

Wolverley Animal Centre forms a unique partnership between our school and Wildgoose Rural Training, a charity based in Worcester, who provide the staff to run the Centre and deliver the qualifications. The centre delivers BTEC Animal Care to our students in years 10 to 13. Learners get the opportunity to feed, water, groom, handle and health check over 30 animal species including goats, chickens, lizards, snakes, rabbits, rats, insects and more. The centre not only provides qualifications for students but provides a sanctuary for students to come and develop their communication skills and confidence. The Centre is open for other year groups for the opportunity to come for cross-curricular lessons in maths, english, science and art, involving the animals in their learning environment.

The Centre also offers provision for SEN learners, workshops for Scout & Brownie groups, holiday clubs, annual open events and Primary School groups encounters.
