Head of College - Lea

Favourite subject at school

Definitely P.E. but I enjoyed most of my subjects at school, especially anything that involved being outside like geography and biology. My most unusual subject at GCSE was Latin which I still use today when teaching A level biology.

Hobbies

I am a very keen sportswoman, and have represented my county in several sports. I currently play hockey and cricket, but hope to get back into athletics soon. I also love spending time with my family who are all very sporty, but when not playing or watching we all enjoy taking our loopy labrador for long walks.

About me

I live in Halesowen with my husband, our two young boys, and our dog Chloe. I come from a family of teachers, with both my father and uncle being involved in the education system.

I have been teaching at Wolverley for 11 years and still remember the day I got my first job here as an NQT! The amazing staff and students make this place feel like a second home to me, and I feel very privileged to be Head of Lion College.

There are a few big adventures on the horizon for my family, including a new baby and a big family trip to my Mom’s homeland, Jamaica.
