March 2017

I dedicate this blog to Year 11 and their maths and English teachers who have recently completed an intensive ‘intervention week’.  All year 11 students have spent and exhausting, yet rewarding week, concentrating on preparation for their English and maths exams.  All other lessons were postponed and this gave real emphasis and impetus to learning.  Throughout the week, students refined their knowledge and skills and were able to hone in on weaker areas in order to improve their overall grade in a number of specially designed mock examination papers.  The week was also exhausting for the English and maths staff.  Many thanks to everyone involved for making this such an effective week for Year 11.
