December makes us think a lot about love. Christmas time is all about expressing your affection to one another. This is usually through a gift or card, but how might we show our love through kindness? There are a lot of ways we can do this without spending a penny and without going out of our way to rush down to the shops and wait hours in line. Spending a few seconds to open the door for someone behind you, it’s hardly wasting your time, yet it’s a way to show your love for someone you perhaps don’t even know. That sounds a little strange doesn’t it? But it’s not when you think about it; the word love can mean to behave friendly to others and this is how we would like to be treated ourselves.

So while you are preparing for Christmas, wrapping up warm, listening to carols, buying gifts and eating advent chocolate just remember to show your love to those around you. Just like a Christmas present you are sure to get something pleasant in return.
