December 2016

I dedicate my December blog to Christmas of course.  As we open our advent calendars and count down the days it is only too easy to forget that Christmas is a time for thinking of others.  I know that many teenagers will only be thinking about getting the latest gadget or the ‘must have’ gifts this Christmas as commercialism lures them away from the true meaning.  We were all served a timely reminder through Miss Poole’s collective worship this week of the how the joy of giving and receiving gifts can transcend differences and highlight our common ground.  Please take a few moments to watch this years Amazon Christmas advert if you haven’t seen it as it is very thought provoking.

I hope that you are able to take time during the rush of the holidays to enjoy the things in life that really matter. I hope that you take in the moments spent with friends and loved ones and that everyone associated with Wolverley experiences the true wonder of Christmas.
