February 2017

Our Ambition Unlimited ethos not only applies to our students and staff but it also extends to our wonderful site.  I am delighted to use the first blog of 2017 to announce that we have been granted planning permission for floodlights on our new multi-sport surface.  After a long application process we have been granted permission for the 6, 8-metre columns which will allow sport to be played up to 9.30pm on midweek evenings and until 6pm at the weekends.  The lights have been funded through a grant by Ibstock Cory Environmental Trust and will be installed in the next few weeks.  We are delighted that our students and people in the local community will now be able to make use of this great facility, throughout the year.  The pitch can be let by contacting our finance department directly, enquiries should go to Rachel.langford@wolverley.worcs.sch.uk.  We will be offering special introductory rates for the rest of the winter and early spring.

We are planning an opening event which will ensure that the big ‘switch on’ is a real celebration of sport and activity in the community.
